In 2013, Durk Derrick Banks, known professionally as Lil Durk, developed a cult following with the release of his Signed to the Streets mixed tape series. He would go on to sign a recording deal with Def Jam Recordings, releasing his first studio albums, Remember My Name in 2015, and Lil Durk 2X in 2016.
In 2020, Lil Durk continued his rise by making his first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 with the single “Viral Moment" off his fifth studio album, Just Cause Y’all Waited 2. Lil Durk's commercial resurgence continued with singles such as "3 Headed Goat" (featuring Polo G and Lil Baby), "Backdoor," and "The Voice". He followed that up in 2021 by releasing a joint album with Lil Baby, entitled The Voice of Heroes, which debuted on the Billboard 200.
An American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois, Lil Durk is the lead member and founder of the collective and record label, Only the Family.
