Altria Theater is proud to welcome Richmond’s 5^th Annual All White Southern Soul Music Festival featuring King George, 803 Fresh, Frank Johnson, Charmeka Jonquelle, Mr. Campbell, Fat Daddy and comedian Antoine Scott. Originating from a combination of blues, country, and early rock and roll, and with a strong gospel influence, Southern Soul was popular in the 1960s and 1970s but has continued to be enjoyed into the present.

King George – In February 2022 King George’s song “Keep on Rollin” catapulted him into the spotlight captivating audiences worldwide with his soulful voice and captivating lyrics. The viral success of this song marked the beginning of his meteoric rise in the music industry.

803 Fresh – is a Southern soul singer from Wagner-Salley, South Carolina. His hit song “Boots on the Ground" has taken the world by storm, his voice is raw, his lyrics are relatable, and his music is a refreshing blend it's sure to get you grooving, this song is straight fire

Mr. Campbell – A blues, R&B soul singer and songwriter known for his hit “I’m Steppin Out”, “Going Down To The Trial ride”, etc.

Fat Daddy – Dallas, TX born & raised an exceptional soul singer giving you such hits as “Mail Man”, “The Blame” and more.

Frank Johnson –Frank Johnson is a breakout artist making serious waves in the music industry with his unique sound and undeniable talent. With a style that fuses raw emotion, smooth melodies, and captivating storytelling, Frank is quickly establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with. His hit single, "Hate on Me," has taken off in a major way, racking up over 7 million views on YouTube and solidifying his presence as a rising star.

CharMeka Jonquelle– is a talented singer and songwriter hailing from North Carolina. Her start in music started from a young age, singing since the age of just two. Her journey into the industry has been a formidable one. It was clear this artiste was special given her natural talent for music, stunning vocals and effortless charisma. CharMeka’s music operates in the realm of R&B, Soul and contemporary pop. She creates authentic, heartfelt and sincere songs that offer both entertainment and relatability for her fanbase.

Antoine Scott – An extremely talented comedian, as a child, his favorite thing to do was make people laugh throughout the house. The big mirror in his parents’ bedroom was his first stage where he celebrated many star performances for an imaginary audience. He has shared the stage with some of the best comedians and artist in the business.

MobileConnect - Assisted Listening Device App: Sennheiser Mobile Connect is an application allowing you to utilize your phone as an assisted listening device. This will allow you to plug in headphones, or utilize your existing hear aids depending on their capability to hear the audio of the show in a much more personal way.

Installation

Install Sennheiser Mobile Connect from the App Store (Apple Devices) or from the Play Store (Android Devicess).

WiFi

Connect to the GalaPro WiFi network. This WiFi network will only be visible in the theater itself.

Open App

Open the MobileConnect App on your device.

Channel

Select the 'Altria Theater Stage' channel. Note that this channel will show only once the performance has started.

Adjust

Adjust the audio volume at the bottom of the screen and drag the circle in the middle at adjust the sound to what you desire

Assisted listening devices are available upon request from the Concierge Desk located in the Box Office Lobby on West Main Street. A valid driver’s license or photo ID will be requested as a deposit for the equipment. We offer two types of receivers, and stock enough of each type to meet ADA requirements according to the percentage of audience capacity. The receivers we distribute most often are the stethoset variety, which includes integrated earbud-style transducers, and are worn like a stethoscope.

We also offer pendant or necklace receivers, which come on their own lanyard and feature a 3.5mm (1/8") connector, which is the standard headphone connection found on smartphones, iPods, ADA ATM cash machines, etc. We can provide these pendant receivers with inductive neck loops, which allow compatibility with T-Coil hearing aids. These receivers are also compatible with cochlear implants featuring 3.5mm Direct Audio Input, personal headphones, or any other device that has a 3.5mm audio input.
Sensory Inclusive Venue: Kulture City sensory bags containing special KCVIP badges, fidget toys, noise canceling headphones and other resources, are available for checkout (at no cost by leaving an ID) at our Concierge desk located in the Altria Theater Box Office Lobby.
